OMNI Educates Seniors and Their Caregivers

Since July of 2004 OMNI has been working to hold "Senior Connection," a monthly community education seminar for seniors and their caregivers, on the third Wednesday of each month at Alterra Sterling House in Richmond, Indiana. The lectures aim to help the audience further understand intricate topics that are important to their lives and well-being.

Myra Morgan, an Administrator with OMNI Home Care has been heading the operation. "We wanted to provide an educational resource for seniors and caregivers to deal with issues that affect people as much as these do," she said.

Each month a new topic such as advanced directives, financial planning, home safety, community resources, Medicare or depression is discussed. So far about 15 to 20 people attend each seminar, and the hope is that this number will continue to grow.
